It may be hard to believe, but in exactly one week it will be 15 years since Anna Nalick released her debut single and biggest hit "Breathe (2 AM)." And while the singles that followed from her first album, 2005's Wreck of the Day, failed to match that song's runaway success, Nalick never walked away from music. She followed up her debut with two independently released albums, Broken Doll & Odds & Ends (2011) and At Now (2017), and now she's back with a new collection of covers called The Blackest Crow.
"Recorded in a single day in a decommissioned Brooklyn church,"The Blackest Crow sees Nalick reinterpreting songs from music's last century, from '40s jazz ballads to '60s folk to '90s alt rock.
