-Roswell is celebrating it's 20th anniversary today, premiering October 6th 1999 on TheWB.
-The show would go on for 3 seasons, being saved by fans for the 2nd and 3rd season. Fans sent over 18,000 bottles of Tabasco sauce to the heads of WB/UPN to get the show saved, something the actors would not appreciate at the time as most of them hated working on a teen show and wanted to move on after Season 1.
-Sherri Appleby was originally brought in to read for Maria while Heath Ledger almost won the role of Max.
-The show was originally developed for FOX as the new Beverly Hills 90210 but it skewed to young which lead TheWB to swoop in and pick up the show.
-Should the show get picked up for a 4th season, it would've delved deeper into Liz's emerging powers and be key to storylines with the show taking a page out of Charmeds book and have Liz's premonitions lead them where they needed to go.
-TheCW reboot does not have the rights to anything from the original show which is partially why there arent that many homages.
