The end of an era ~~~
Or so I'd say if I were half as dramatic as Twitter. Fans are getting all nostalgic about the fact that New York Minute was released fifteen years ago, despite its negative (and horridly correct) reviews. But who doesn't have a guilty pleasure?

Let's start this post off with the twins' MET Gala vintage Chanel #looks, shall we? It's always such a treat to have them out and about on official business.
Once again, Mark Townsend played around with the twins' hair texture. He is seemingly obsessed with it, as they are of his talents.

New York Minute was Ashley Olsen's last gig before she decided to quit acting: "I don't have to be a pretty face. I've done that, but now it’s important and liberating to be on the other side of the lens. I don't like to be the center of attention anymore. It doesn't mean I'm not interested in Hollywood,; I like the way it operates, I like the people who are involved and the sense of possibility. But if I ever get back in, it's not going to be as an actress."
Mary-Kate dabbled in some roles here and there, but she eventually followed suit, stating, "it just felt right to move away."

The appeal of Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen has always been their unyielding faith to stay true to themselves. They said they were done with fame - they said it once - and done with fame they were. Unlike many stars right now who are all talk with the way they promote or even slander social media (Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande), or the endless complaints that begin and end with the paparazzi despite always turning to them for promotion (Kardashians/Jenners, Hilary Duff), the twins just don't roll that way. And the best part? They don't shove that fact down our throats, it's merely a conclusion that comes to be when following MKA.
