- Kiefer and Julia met on 1990's Flatliners
- Julia left her fiance Dylan McDermott for Kiefer (who was married at the time/maybe in the process of getting a divorce? it's not really clear.)
- theirs was a rocky relationship. (no surprise) by 1991 Kiefer had moved into a seedy hotel and struck up a "friendship" with a go-go dancer.
- a few weeks later he moved back in with Julia
- the story broke about Kiefer and the dancer. Julia checked into the hospital for the flu. soon after she was spotted wearing an engagement ring.
- they were set to tie the knot on June 14, 1991.
- Julia called off the wedding three days before and ran off with Jason Patric (Kiefer's friend and co-star in the Lost Boys)
- Jason was initially invited to the wedding but uninvited as the date got closer.
- People magazine did a "juicy" article on it back in 1991
