Jessica Simpson Celebrates 4 Years of Sobriety + Nick Lachey Says That He'll Never Read Her Memoir

Jessica Simpson took to social media to share an "unrecognizable version" of herself attached with a beautiful message to her followers.

The singer revealed that she recently celebrated 4 years of sobriety, "There is so much stigma around the word alcoholism or the label of an alcoholic. The real work that needed to be done was to actually accept failure, pain, brokenness, and self sabotage."

Personally, to do this I needed to stop drinking alcohol because it kept my mind and heart circling in the same direction and quite honestly I was exhausted. I wanted to feel the pain so I could carry it like a badge of honor.

Also in POS news, her ex-husband Nick Lachey recently revealed to Andy Cohen that he has no plans on reading her 2020 memoir Open Book.

"You'd be shocked to hear that I have not nor will I ever read it," said Lachey after laughing at Cohen's question asking if he had read the memoir.

"Here's the thing, obviously I knew the book was coming out. I lived the book," he added. "I know what the truth is so I don't need to read it or read someone's version of a story. I know it. I lived it. So no, I never read it."

Shortly after the book came out in 2020, he said "I'm certainly happy for her and her life, I know she is happy for us," he said at the time. "There's definitely a mutual respect there, so that's, you know — obviously it was a long time ago; we've all moved on."
